PRO WORKSHOP: Why NFTs and APIs are Crucial for the Future of Web3
Limited Capacity seats available

Nayana Singh, GM of Product, ConsenSys

Description
Contrary to popular sentiment, creators don’t need to be expert developers to curate NFTs and participate in Web3. Application Programming Interfaces, or APIs, offer a low-code option to leverage blockchain technology but without code complexities, streamlining the point of entry to Web3 and acting as the perfect on-ramp to the space.
In this session, Nayana will discuss the future of Web3 and how NFTs and APIs are bridges for Web2 developers . Throughout her presentation, Nayana will break down the decentralized web and the opportunities it creates for Web2 developers to get more involved. She’ll cover the growing NFT landscape and how it will become more widely adopted for both the general population and developer audience.
To make Web3 more inclusive, and by building such APIs and SDKs to facilitate participation, Nayana can discuss the inclusivity of Web3 and the NFT solutions beyond collectibles, including auditing, loyalty tokens, gaming, ticketing, supply chain, track and trace and more.
Takeaways
  • How NFTs are bridging the gap in bringing developers from Web2 to Web3
  • How APIs are key to unlocking Web3
  • How developers can take advantage of the emerging space and the market opportunity that persists

[Virtual Exclusive] PRO WORKSHOP: How to Write and Deploy a Smart Contract
Anastasia Lalamentik, Full Stack Engineer, Kaleido

If you want to build a blockchain app, one of the most important things to know is how to write a smart contract.

Anastasia Lalamentik, Full Stack Engineer at Kaleido, will walk through how Ethereum smart contracts work and go over related concepts like gas fees, the Ethereum Virtual Machine (EVM), the block explorer, and the Solidity programming language.

By the end, attendees will know how to:
- Write a simple smart contract
- Deploy their smart contract to an Ethereum test network through tools like Hardhat and the MetaMask wallet
- Test interactions with their deployed smart contract and ensure that everything is working properly
